Foodie’s with Greenstone Vineyards
The team from Greenstone Vineyards will be hosting Foodie’s Night at Hargreaves Hill on Monday (9 May).
Spoiling us with a selection of their Yarra Valley estate range, we’ll have the opportunity to try the traditionally cultivated 2011 sparkling wine; a 2015 barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc; and an estate Chardonnay from 2014, as well as the vibrant and ripe 2015 Pinot Noir.
The picturesque Yarra Valley vineyard was established in 1983 and is situated at the base of the Christmas Hills, with 27 hectares of the property under vine. The gently sloping and undulating land of this “Yarra Floor” vineyard is moderately warmer than its Upper Yarra counterparts, and the predominately grey sandy loam soils over a clay base, provide a consistent nutritional base for the vines, producing wines of varietal intensity, together with complexity and elegance.
Elita and Courtney will be on hand to discuss the wines while head chef, Chris will be serving a 4-hour slow roasted pork belly with smoked tomato, basil and coriander puree.
